Children under 12 who want to dance to an exciting mix of music styles are being encouraged to join a new multicultural program in Ballan.
Sudanese charity worker and Anglican priest Peter Kunen is the driving force behind ‘Saturday Kids’ Dance and Drum’ at StJohns Anglican Church hall.
Backed by a Moorabool Council community arts grant, the program helps children like Emmy and Marina (pictured) discover different cultures through rhythm, movement, costumes, language and new taste sensations.
Workshops are held every Saturday from 10.30am.
“It will allow people to learn about different cultures while having lots of fun,” Father Kunen said.
Participants are asked to wear light but sturdy footwear.
