TAC Cup: Western Jets still have finals hope

WESTERN Jets will need results up the table to go their way, but finals can still be reached after a 33-point win against Sandringham Dragons at the weekend.

The Jets are still six premiership points out of the top eight with two rounds to go following the 14.11 (95) to 8.14 (62) win. Geelong Falcons (7-1-7) hold eighth place while the Jets (6-9) are ninth by three games from 10th-placed Northern Knights (3-12).

The Jets kicked five unanswered goals in the third quarter to control the game after leading by four at half-time. Spencer White booted five goals for the victors and Ashlin Brown four, while other better players were Daniel Burton, Joshua Bench, Billy Iles and Charlie Nastasi.
