TWO Moorabool schools have blitzed the competition at this year’s Rock Eisteddfod Challenge.
Darley Primary got the ball rolling, taking out the ‘Spirit of J Rock’ award last week with its performance of Guess Who’s Twisted.
The pupils’ story of board games coming to life impressed their fellow competitors, who voted for the award.
“The theme of the performance was that kids need to get away from their computers and video games and enjoy the fun of board games,” performance co-ordinator Andrea Caddaye said.
“In the performance, all the pieces from games like Twister, Snakes and Ladders and Guess Who? come to life.
“The kids trained really hard for this, two hours every Thursday.”
Months of hard work also paid off for talented Bacchus Marsh Grammar performers, winning the J Rock competitive division with their performance of A Puppet’s Journey.
