BACCHUS Marsh will have the deck firmly stacked in its favour when it takes on Ballarat in a showdown for sixth place in Ballarat Netball League A-grade this weekend.
The Cobras have a game-and-a-half advantage from sixth to seventh meaning it can afford to drop this weekend’s match, provided it beats last-placed Sebastopol in the final round of the season.
That task may be a little bit more difficult after Sebastopol stunned Ballarat 47-40 to post its first win of the season at the weekend.
The gap between the top two and chasing pack was clear as East Point won 77-31 against the Cobras at Maddingley Park on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Melton comfortably accounted for Melton South 66-14, to keep a half-game advantage in fourth from fifth-placed Darley who won 37-22 away at North Ballarat.
Redan defeated a rejuvinated Sunbury 44-35.
