GROUP officer Gerry Lavery and state CFA chief officer Euan Ferguson have opened Bacchus Marsh’s local command centre, the group’s new headquarters at Moorabool Community Civic Centre in Halletts Way, Darley.
Members of the Bacchus Marsh, Balliang, Coimadai, Myrniong, Parwan and Rowsley fire brigades turned out for the August 25 event. “It is great that we now have a group headquarters and the facilities that enable the group to run incidents more effectively,” Mr Lavery said.
The centre provides the group with improved training and meeting areas and will be available for other services to use during emergencies.
