BFL reserves: Darley gives up lead and suddenly it’s all over

REDAN steadily asserted its dominance over Darley to deny the Devils the Ballarat Football League reserves premiership by 51 points on Saturday.

The Lions led by just seven points at the first change but extended the margin to 20 at the long break, 38 at the last change and then ran out 15.12 (102) to 7.9 (51) winners.

A physical and low-scoring opening came with no reward on the scoreboard despite Darley’s efforts. .

Mitch Gillespie booted three goals for the Devils and Jackson Lesko two.
