A MELTON man has had his car impounded after being caught driving on the Western Freeway with a cancelled licence.
The man, 43, was pulled over at 6.50am last Wednesday. He had prior convictions for driving while suspended.
His Toyota vehicle was impounded for 30 days. He was the 124th driver to have their car impounded in Melton this year.
Earlier, a Bacchus Marsh man, 41, had his Subaru Forester impounded for 30 days after being caught travelling at 158km/h on Diggers Rest-Coimadai Road at 8.40pm last Tuesday. He has been ordered to pay $799 for the release of the car.
Also seized was the car of a Hepburn Springs man, 41, who was caught driving with a suspended licence during a routine check along High Street, Melton, on December 3.
