UPDATE: Police have identified those involved in a fatal collision in Toolern Vale on Friday, April 5.
Investigators have been told a truck and two cars collided on Gisborne-Melton Road about 9am.
Police have confirmed the driver of one of the cars, who died at the scene, was a 19-year-old Melton man.
A Trentham woman, 42, who was driving the second car, was airlifted to Royal Melbourne Hospital with serious injuries. A Coburg man, 62, who was driving the truck, was taken to Footscray Hospital.
Police want to speak to the drivers of two semi-trailers who may have information which could assist in the investigation.
