Labour of love for Bacchus Marsh family

ORGANISERS hope more than 200 local women will attend a fund-raiser for a Bacchus Marsh family who recently lost a wife and mother to cancer.

The ‘Bridge To Love’ women’s night out, at Bacchus Marsh town hall from 7pm on April 26, will raise money for the family of Brooke Lovel, who died from an aggressive form of cervical cancer.

Diagnosed last October, Brooke (pictured) was 29 when she died on February 27, the day she planned to marry David, who now cares for their children Alex, 4, and Vaughan, 22 months (also pictured).

The family’s savings were depleted during Brooke’s cancer battle.

Organisers are seeking donations for the event, including products and services for silent auctions, catering and drinks.

The night will include live music and general pampering.
