A PROPERTY on the outskirts of Bacchus Marsh which served as the backdrop to movies Ned Kelly and The Flying Doctors is set to break local real estate records when it goes under the hammer.
The 84-hectare Bulldog Lane property in Long Forest has been listed for sale with an asking price of $4million.
Ned Kelly, starring Orlando Bloom and the late Heath Ledger, was partially filmed on the land in 2002, while a hut which appears in the film is still standing.
Realtor Jayson Ryder said it was set to be the biggest sale he’d seen in the area.
‘‘In 19 years of real estate I’ve never seen anything like it, nothing compares to it,’’ he said.
The property, which comprises three houses and six paddocks, is off the Western Freeway on the outskirts of Bacchus Marsh.
