THOUSANDS of residents braved a cold Anzac Day morning for Melton’s dawn service at the cenotaph on High Street.

A country club spokeswoman said the turnout was the biggest yet.
“The numbers have increased a lot; it was overwhelming. They came back to breakfast at the club afterwards and the whole venue was packed.”
Students from schools including Staughton College took part in a wreath-laying ceremony.
