A location to love

If location is everything, this one nears the top of the bill.

Around the corner from Southern Cross Grammar, down the road from parkland and equidistant from Taylors Hill, Caroline Springs and Watervale shopping centres, this modern house serves many needs for a family right on the doorstep.

Dressed up street-side with landscaped gardens planted with a mop-top, box hedges and flax, the house sits on about 400 square metres which leaves space for entertainment and children’s play out back. Inside, it’s streamlined simplicity of light-toned floor tiles, neutral wall colour, beige carpet and roller blinds — with a splash of colour in feature walls.

The tiled entry hall (with garage access) has the main bedroom to the right where a ceiling fan, walk-in wardrobe and an open ensuite with semi-recessed vanity basin are features. At hall’s end is the good-sized family hub, tiled in the kitchen-meals zone, and carpeted for comfort in the family area where an olive-green feature wall and illuminated wall recess add a jazzy touch.

The kitchen has an island bench, glossy chocolate-toned cabinetry, two-door pantry and stainless-steel underbench oven, gas cooktop, range hood and dishwasher.

Off another hallway are two bedrooms (with wardrobes and ceiling fans), the main bathroom, separate toilet and laundry.

Glass sliders open from the family hub to a pergola with tiled roof and timber-lined vaulted ceiling overhead, aggregate paving underfoot.

A perky garden shed, built unusually in brick and with tiled roof, is a handy extra.
