BACCHUS Marsh will celebrate its next crop of berries with an extra $3000 in funding from Tourism Victoria for this year’s Strawberries and Cherries Weekend.
The festival drew more than 11,500 visitors last year, with more than half travelling from Melbourne. Up to 14,000 people are expected to attend this year’s event from November 16-17.
Western Victoria Liberal MP Simon Ramsay said the funding would support increased online and print marketing strategies, particularly in Melbourne.
