FFV: Melton in 16-1 thrashing

MELTON bounced back from its first loss of the FFV state league 5 west season, thrashing Sunshine Heights Western Tigers 16-1 on Saturday. 

Chris Briggs and Jason Moody scored six goals each, while Carlos Velasquez, Neil Keltie, Robert Bebenek and Jason Cossai all found the net. 

The win has pumped Melton’s goal difference up to plus-38, with Phoenix top on 31 points from Laverton Park (26) and Point Cook (24). 

Melton plays Spring Hills (11th, 14 points) at MacPherson Park from 7pm on Saturday.
