MELTON Thoroughbreds have all but sealed top spot in Big V Basketball division 2 after thrashing finals contender Keilor Thunder 96-61.
The Breds’ win puts it top (12-4) from Pakenham Warriors (11-5) and third-placed Keilor (10-5) with two games left in the home-and-away season.
Paul Ross (26 points) and Cameron McCallum (19 points, 13 rebounds) shone as Melton led from start to finish. Melton plays Casey Cavaliers at Cranbourne this Saturday.
