BACCHUS Marsh’s irrigation season has opened with an allocation of 75 per cent of high-reliability water shares for growers.
Southern Rural Water water supply manager Edward Smith said a dry summer meant the starting allocation was lower than last year’s 100 per cent, but with a wetter than average winter predicted he was hopeful of allocation increases.
