Green scene for schools

SCHOOLS are being encouraged to get involved in Greening Australia’s annual ‘Regional Toolbox for Environmental Change’ on August 8.

Narmbool, a 2023-hectare Elaine property operated by Sovereign Hill, will host hands-on environmental workshops.

Displays, talks and a tour of the homestead will be followed by morning tea.

Greening Australia’s school programs co-ordinator Jim Mead said: “We aim to ensure teachers can walk out of the workshops with hands-on activities, programs and ideas they can implement in their schools immediately.”

Details: 9450 5321.
