MADDINGLEY PARK will undergo more than $235,000 worth of upgrades as part of federal funding for a series of projects in the Moorabool Council area.
A new multi-purpose community building will be constructed as part of the upgrades, as well as power supply and lighting improvements.
Under stage five of the Regional Development Australia Fund the Ballan Recreation Reserve will receive $35,000, and the Wallace Recreation Reserve will receive $20,000.
There will also be $19,250 for stage two of the Mason’s Lane redevelopment, $26,500 for Bungraree oval irrigation and $41,750 for reconstruction of Gordon Tennis Club’s courts.
Minister for Regional Australia Catherine King said the federal election would not threatened the funding as it was already in the budget.
the funding for the projects was already in the budget, meaning it shouldn’t be under threat at the federal election.
“The community will be thrilled to hear that the council has identified this latest list of projects which I know locals have been campaigning hard for,” she said.
“I know all of this funding is well-deserved and a real win for the communities which benefit.”
