Volunteers at Melton Uniting Church’s op shop are used to selling items to help people in need.
But on April 17 they will be doing it for an entirely different cause.
Peter Swann says the shop will donate the day’s proceeds to the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
“It’s the first time we’ve done it. The Royal Children’s Hospital touches everyone… it’s a worthy cause.”
The fund-raiser will include a barbecue. Clothing, bric-a-brac and books will be on sale.
