The curiosity of several Bacchus Marsh residents was raised when a police helicopter was seen hovering over Masons Lane on June 22.
Moorabool Inspector Brendon McCrory said the aircraft was used about 3.30pm to allow police to get an overhead look at the scene of an industrial death in late May.
“It will assist in the preparation of an inquest by the coroner, in relation to a recent death,” Inspector McCrory said.
“It’s one of the tools used in this process. We need to cover all bases and get as much information as possible in fatal accidents.”
