Deciduous, native and evergreen – trees of all sorts were depicted in the Moorabool Environment Group’s annual photography competition.
An awards ceremony was held at Bacchus Marsh’s Lerderderg library on Sunday. Moorabool resident and budding artist Keely Fitzsimons took out first prize in the junior category ahead of pupils from three participating primary schools.
Semi-professionals and hobby photographers were among entrants in the open section, where first prize went to Moorabool resident Matthew Page.
Victorian Photographic Society president Ron Speed praised the high standard of the competition’s 87 entries.
All photographs will be on display in the library’s art space until the end of next month.
