Jump Rope for Heart: Fun, charity a perfect fit for Melton PS

Melton Primary School pupils are skipping their way to a healthier future and raising funds for an important cause.

This year’s Jump Rope for Heart program was launched at the school last Friday, and it continues until September 12.

Pupils will take part in physical activity sessions two lunchtimes a week. Co-ordinator Danny Roberts says the program will promote health and fitness at the school.

“We know physical health has many benefits for students and adults, including building muscle and strength, building confidence and leadership skills, and helping students learn and stay focused. It also helps them reduce risk of developing health complications in future.”

Money raised will go towards the Heart Foundation to help in the fight against heart disease and strokes.
