Hillside’s Essendon District Football League season came to an end on Saturday, with the Sharks going down to West Coburg by 72 points.
In front of their home crowd at Hillside Reserve, the Sharks failed to make the most of their opportunities, managing just 2.9 to three-quarter time.
There were no such problems for West Coburg as Alexander Stewart booted five goals and was named best on ground in the 17.10 (112) to 5.10 (40) win.
For Hillside, Fabio Dilizia finished what was already a strong season on a high and was one of the Sharks’ best. Hillside finished the division 1 season in seventh place with a 5-11 record.
