Melton City councillor Lara Carli swapped the council chambers for the classroom last week and loved every minute of it.
The Watts ward councillor was principal for a day at Taylors Hill Primary School and was amazed at how hard staff and students work to create a positive learning environment.
“It was a fantastic day,” Cr Carli said. “It’s a beautiful school and I was amazed how much older students know about local government.”
Cr Carli received a guided tour from the senior classes and was treated like a celebrity by the ever-inquisitive preps.
