Police are at a home in Melton West after a nine-month-old boy suffered critical injuries.
Ambulance paramedics requested police attend the house in Fairhaven Boulevard at 10am on Tuesday.
Ambulance Victoria said paramedics found the nine-month-old baby boy unconscious.
The baby was flown to the Royal Children’s Hospital with critical injuries.
Police remain at the scene, but said it was too early to explain what had happened inside the home.
No one has been taken into custody.
