Evening trains on the Ballarat line will be replaced by coaches over three nights next week as V/Line carries out maintenance works.
From Sunday 7 December to Tuesday 9 December, all services scheduled for after 8pm will run as coaches for the entire journey between Wendouree and Southern Cross.
On Sunday, coaches will replace trains from 8pm on services to Southern Cross, and from 8.30pm on outbound services.
The 7.55pm Southern Cross to Wendouree service will operate as a train to Ballarat before it switches to a coach service.
The 9.15pm Southern Cross to Ararat service will also run as a full coach replacement.
On Monday 8 December and Tuesday 9 December, all services from 8pm travelling towards Southern Cross and from 7pm departing Southern Cross will be replaced by coach services.
Passengers are being advised to plan ahead and allow up to 40 minutes extra travel time.
There is limited bike space available on replacement services, and hot food, drink and pets are not permitted.
