Melton Christmas calendar

The Christmas season is fast approaching and Melton residents are spoilt for choice with a packed calendar of festive events, workshops, and family-friendly celebrations across the municipality.

Families can capture the magic of the season with Christmas photo moments now available at several local spots, including HomeCo, Aintree, Lake Caroline, Mt Atkinson Community Centre and the Eynesbury Homestead.

In Aintree, Santa will be making appearances throughout December, with dates and times available at woodlea.com.au/community-news-events.

Carols lovers can head to Diggers Rest on Thursday 4 December, with the annual Diggers Rest Community Carols running between 5 and 8.30pm at Diggers Rest Primary School at 70 Plumpton Road.

Creative kids can join a Collage Photo frame workshop at Melton Library on Friday 5 December between 3.30 and 5pm, with bookings available online at ibraryevents.melton.vic.gov.au.

The Eynesbury Homestead will also be hosting photos with Santa on Saturday 6 December from 12-3pm, while the Caroline Springs Carols by Candlelight will light up the Lake Caroline foreshore later the same evening between 5 and 10pm. Visit eynesbury.com.au and cscarols.org.

Santa will also be hitting the streets for Santa’s Roadshow on Sunday 7 December, stopping at 11 Commercial Road in Caroline Springs between 12 and 1.30pm, before visiting residents in Caroline Springs between 2 and 4pm.

Budding young cooks can also take part in the Little Chefs Christmas Cooking Workshop on Sunday 7 December, running from 10am to 1pm. Information’s available at meltonsouth.org.au.
