About 70 people attended the Ballan Tennis Club reunion on Sunday 12 October, with the reinvigoration of its committee now looking promising.
Long-time former Ballan Tennis Club member Denis Conroy, who was one of the event organisers, said everyone enjoyed the day, had a “great laugh“ at some of the memorabilia and photos of players from the past as memories were relived and shared.
Mr Conroy said some attendees were disappointed about the committee being in recess – but there are promising signs it will be reformed after many expressed interest in joining strategy meetings to bring it back to life and promote interest and involvement among younger tennis players to become stewards of the club.
