Dog rescued in Deanside housefire

Firefighters were called to smoke issuing from a house in Deanside at 4.34pm on Sunday 12 October.

Crews arrived to find the Angul Parade property’s garage in flames which they then ventilated, checking the property for further hot spots.

The incident was brought under control at 4.50pm.

According to the Rockbank Fire Brigade Facebook page, nobody was home at the time of the incident and fire crews were able to rescue the owners’ dog from the property.

Police and paramedics were also on scene.

The cause of the fire is unknown and is currently being investigated.
