Rockbank man in custody following Epping death

A 50-year-old Rockbank man has been arrested following the death of a woman in Epping.

Emergency services were called to reports a woman had been found unresponsive at a property in Gottloh Street about 5.50pm on Thursday 9 October.

Paramedics attended the property but the woman died at the scene.

Police said it appeared the 44-year-old Epping woman had been seriously assaulted.

The Rockbank man was arrested by police last night and will be interviewed by police.

It’s understood the parties are known to each other.

A crime scene has been established, and the investigation remains ongoing.
