Melton will come alive with Christmas cheer over the next month with a range of festive activities.
The much-loved annual Carols by Candlelight will be held at Hannah Watts Park on Saturday, December 14, from 5pm.
Mayor Steve Abboushi said Melton is a wonderful place to be in the lead up to Christmas.
“Christmas is a special time to gather with family, friends and neighbours, enjoy each other’s company, and embrace the community spirit,” he said.
“It’s important that we all look out for one another at Christmas. For some, the festive season can be difficult, and I encourage you to join in the activities on offer and lean on the strength of our community at this time.“
Community carols events in Diggers Rest and Caroline Springs will provide further opportunities to singalong and embrace the Christmas cheer.
There will also be a Twilight Christmas at Hillside on Friday, December 20 for a Santa Disco, face painting, roving entertainment, and the chance to meet Mrs Claus and Santa for some family fun.
Santa will also be making his way to various locations around Melton to meet and greet people as part of his very own roadshow.
For those wanting adventure, four Christmas-themed photo moments will be scattered around the city to capture festive snaps and create your own Christmas memories.
Other activities on offer include culinary Christmas creations for kids, DIY Christmas wreaths, and festive film nights with the classic ‘Elf’ on the big screen.
