It’s time to beat the heat this summer and make a splash because a free pool party is coming Melton’s way.

Melton locals are invited to the pool party with free admission to Melton Waves Leisure Centre from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday, December 8.

Plenty of activities are available for the little ones, including games, inflatables, and slides to keep them entertained.

Guests will have full access to the entire facility, including all aquatics and health club facilities, as well as group fitness classes.

Young and old swimmers can explore the indoor wave pool for endless fun, but for those looking to swim laps, the eight-lane, 25-metre indoor and 50m outdoor pools are the perfect place for working on strokes or enjoying a leisurely swim.

The free pool party is also for parents who want to ensure their children are well-prepared for the upcoming summer swimming season.

BlueFit Swimming general manager Michele Eason emphasised the importance of water safety, especially as the preparation for swimming season draws closer.

“Now is the time to get swim ready and talk water safety with our kids,” she said.

“This event not only promotes fitness but also community awareness about swimming safety.

“Parents can learn about progressive swimming lessons and get to know their local swim instructors.”

Parents can engage directly with experienced swim instructors, who will provide insights into the different progressive swim classes offered.

On dry land, the party continues with an afternoon of family fun including free entry, group fitness classes, sausage sizzle, face painting as well as loads of prizes to give away on the day.
