FFV: Melton Phoenix aim to clinch third spot on ladder

Melton can finish as high as third if it can win its final two matches of the State League 4 west soccer season.

The Phoenix will need to bounce back from a tough few weeks that have resulted in the club losing its past two games.

The back-to-back defeats meant Melton dropped from fourth to fifth on the table but victories against Surf Coast in round 21 and Altona North in round 22 would allow the Phoenix to climb back up the ladder.

Hoppers Crossing has already secured the title, dominating the 2014 season.

The club has lost just once for the season and is 10 points clear on top of the table.
