The Bacchus Marsh Christmas festival is back for its 9th year on December 16.

This year the festival is full of great community activities and a full showcase of community talent.

There’ll be a large market space, kids’ rides, a free gingerbread workshop, face painting, free kids’ craft zone and a chance to meet Santa.

The carols by candlelight will start at 7pm and the night will end with a bang with the show-stopper fireworks display.

Emma Dwyer from Webb’s Event Group said the event will have a traditional feel with entertainment on stage all day.

“From the carnival rides and sideshows for all ages to our amazing market alley with over 90 vendors with 25 per cent of them being local and surrounds,” she said.

“The food park will have festive feasts for all or simply bring your traditional picnic from home.

“Don’t forget to get online and book into the free gingerbread man workshop. It has limited space don’t delay.

“It is still top secret who our special guest will be this year but do watch out on the Facebook page for hints.

“The Bacchus Marsh carols has been a traditional family event for many years and we love watching families come back. We hope to keep this tradition for generations to come.”

The Bacchus Marsh Christmas Festival will take place from 1pm to 9pm at Maddingley Park on December 16.
