Western United is calling on all the football families of the West to come together as WUN for football and win for their community club with the Unite and WIN promotion in Ballarat.
Western United returns to Ballarat for its A-League Men season opener and two further games at Mars Stadium and wants the football community in the west to get involved.
The Unite and WIN promotion, presented by Teqball Australia, challenges community clubs from the west to gather their players, friends and families and attend the three matches to be in the running to win prizes including the major prize of a Teqball table valued at $3,000.
Academy and Community general manager Anthony Frost, encouraged the local football community to get involved.
“We saw the region’s passion and enthusiasm for football at the Western United Cup and at our United Football Program sessions earlier this year, and we want to bring that energy and togetherness to our A-League Men games at Mars Stadium,” he said.
“This competition is a fun way to get kids involved, and for them to have the opportunity to feel what it’s like to step out on to an A-League pitch in front of the Western United faithful in the stands. We’re looking forward to having as many clubs from the Ballarat region represented, and unearthing a future, local A-League champion.
On arrival at each match fans will simply place an entry into the Unite and WIN chest, nominating their community club. The club with the most entries at the end of the third match will win the major prize.
As a bonus, each match one lucky fan will win a signed home jersey, with the winner announced during the half-time break. There will also be giveaways and player appearances at the Unite and WIN activation for some extra fun for the kids before each match.
United has also extended the Liberty A-League Pass, which gets kids 16 and under free entry to all A-League Women matches, to include these first three home matches for the men’s team at Mars Stadium.
Kids aged 9-11 can work on their skills in a fun and engaging environment with a Western United Pre-Match Mini Clinic.
For $35 per child, the kids will enjoy a two-hour football session from 12-2pm on matchday, filled with skills, drills and games before also taking centre stage on the Mars Stadium turf as a Half Time Hero during the A-League Men match.
The clinic will be held at Frank Bourke Oval adjacent to Mars Stadium, with registrations closing 48 hours before the clinic day. More details on the Pre-Match Mini Clinic can be found here.
