Darley has locked in Dan Jordan for another two Ballarat Football League seasons.
The Devils announced on Tuesday that the club and Jordan had agreed to terms to lock him in until the end of 2025 following careful consideration and acknowledgment of Jordan’s outstanding leadership and dedication to the team’s success.
Devils president Mark Shelly said the committee and football department were in unanimous agreement to extend Jordan’s tenure as senior coach to the end of a fourth season.
Jordan said he was honoured and excited that the club has shown faith in appointing him for the next two years.
“I feel as a whole club we are establishing a great platform to build sustained success and I, the coaching group, board, playing group, members and supporters are motivated to return the Devils to the top tier of the competition across all grades.”
Darley football operations manager, Craig Baker expressed his enthusiasm about the extension.
“The club was keen for Dan to continue for another season, and when he mentioned two more, we jumped at the opportunity,” he said.
“We feel this appointment gives not only our senior players, but also our junior players the best possible chance to become senior footballers- under a coach with AFL experience. One point players are extremely important to the club.”
The Devils sit third on the ladder after 14 rounds, only percentage behind second. This week they face North Ballarat at Darley Park.
