There are upcoming disruptions along the Ballarat train line due to ongoing works.

The state government is widening Dynon Road in West Melbourne, getting it ready to connect the West Gate Tunnel to the city.

Major train lines run underneath the Dynon Road Bridge, so to complete works safely the Ballarat, Ararat and Maryborough lines will be disrupted.

Coaches will replace some Bacchus Marsh trains on weekday mornings and afternoons from Monday July 10 until Friday July 21.

Leaving Bacchus Marsh toward Southern Cross the 6.19am, 7.26am and 8.08am trains will be replaced by coaches for the entire journey.

Commuters heading towards Bacchus Marsh from Southern Cross will have the 4.19pm, 4.41pm and 5.21pm services replaced by coaches.

Coaches will be a mix of express and stopping all stations. Commuters are being warned to allow an extra 45 minutes for their journey.

All other Ballarat Line trains will run as usual.
