The 21 year old driver of a Nissan 350Z has had his vehicle impounded twice by police in 2 months.
The male driver was caught by Highway Patrol in Bundoora, driving on a suspended probationary licence, on March 11. The vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
The owner paid the fees and collected his vehicle from impound on April 10, and was caught again driving the same vehicle on 29 April by Melton Highway Patrol members in Taylors Road, Deanside.
The vehicle was re-impounded due to his suspended status for 30 more days at a further cost to him of $995.
The driver also breached a condition of his licence on both occasions by driving a vehicle fitted with a manual transmission on an automatic licence.
Police said on Facebook that it is hoped “the young man now understands his suspension and that it is not a case of third time (un) lucky“.
