Commonwealth Games Australia announced homegrown sports brand Valour will be the official apparel partner for the 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games.
In an announcement on April 26, Commonwealth Games Australia said the appointment is Valour’s first collaboration with the team.
Commonwealth Games Australia chief executive Craig Phillips said he was excited to partner with the Australian owned brand, which focuses on creating performance and comfort driven sportswear.
“Valour has already demonstrated a keen understanding of the requirements needed for the Australian Commonwealth Youth Games Team, and we look forward to seeing their vision come to life,” Mr Phillips said.
“Valour clearly understands and is committed to ensuring that our athletes have everything they need to perform at their best.”
“For many of these athletes, it will be their first time competing in an international multi-sport event and we want to ensure they are comfortable and confident.”
Valour is poised to provide over 5000 items of apparel, including: competition uniforms for cycling, rugby, triathlon, and athletics, as well as a complete range of team accessories.
Valour will also provide ceremonial wear for the opening and closing ceremonies, featuring designs that pay tribute to First Nations Australians.
The opening ceremony in Trinidad will mark the commencement of seven days of competition on 4 August 2023, which is just 100 days from now.
