Australia’s fastest Blown Alcohol Displacement (B.A.D.) racing boats descended on the Melton Reservoir over the weekend for a weekend of spectacular racing.

Spectators could watch the action from the grandstands over February 3-5.

Chris Pugsley took his boat, Shenanigans to the top sport for both the Jack Kavanagh Trophy and the Keith Harrison Unlimited, and Darryl Quinn took out the coveted Melton Gold Cup in his boat Bad Influence.

Winners of the races will receive a trophy board and prize money of up to $6000.

Melbourne Runabout and Speedboat Club vice commodore Chris Dynon said it was a “great weekend”.

“A big thanks to Melton shire for all there ongoing support,” he said.
