Residents keen to test their knowledge of Melton, or learn something new about the area will have the chance to explore Melton township and win a share in $500 worth of prizes with a school holiday scavenger hunt.

On January 24 Competitors can start at the Melton Council Civic Centre from 10am, where they’ll receive a Melton Town Centre hunt kit that will give them all they need to complete tasks, sleuth out clues, and find giveaways along the way.

The activity is expected to take around 45 minutes at walking pace along paved footpaths that are suitable for participants with wheelchairs, mobility devices, and prams.

The trail is also suitable for bikes and scooters wanting to zip through the course.

The hunt finishes at the Melton Amphitheatre where you can join members of the community for free morning tea, coffee and show bags.

Submit your completed activity sheet for your chance to go in the draw to win a share in $500 worth of prizes.

The event will finish at 12pm, and children must be supervised by a parent, guardian or carer.

Melton Mayor Lara Carli said council is “excited to get the community moving.”

“Our Melton Town Centre Scavenger Hunt gives families the opportunity to learn about their local town centre, its history, and hidden treasures, while having a memorable time in town,” she said.

“With so much to see and do, the hunt provides a great occasion for our community to discover more of Melton and support our local businesses as part of a fun day out.”
