Andrews Cabinet reshuffle revealed

Dan Andrews has unveiled an updated Cabinet lineup in the wake of the Labor Party’s successful state election.

Ministers were sworn in to their new roles at a ceremony on Monday, December 5.

North-west representatives will retain their roles, with Melton MP Steve McGhie remaining as Cabinet Secretary, a role he has had since July, and Sydenham MP Natalie Hutchins keeping the portfolios of Education and Women.

Eureka MP Michaela Settle has been sworn in as the Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Development, and for Agriculture.

Western Metropolitan MP Lizzie Blandthorn will be Deputy Leader of the Government in the Legislative Council, taking on the portfolios of Disability, Ageing and Carers and Child Protection and Family Services and leading the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing.

Many of the big positions within the party are remaining the same, with Bendigo East MP Jacinta Allen staying on as Deputy Premier, Northern Victoria MP Jaclyn Symes as Attorney General, and Werribee MP Tim Pallas remaining treasurer.

The new Northern Metropolitan MP Enver Erdogan will enter the ministry with the portfolios of Corrections, Youth Justice and Victim Support.

St Albans MP Natalie Suleyman will also enter Cabinet, becoming Minister for Youth, Small Business and Veterans.
