Whether you want to showcase your kick flip, bunny hop or jump trick or just want to see local experts do them, Moorabool’s youth are invited to the free youth skate competition on September 27.
As part of Moorabool Youth Fest 2022, Moorabool council and YMCA Skate Park League are giving 13 to 17-year-olds the opportunity to show their skateboarding, BMX and scooter skills, at the Bacchus Marsh Skate Park.
The day will include door prizes and raffles and youth are invited to come and cheer on competitors as they battle it out in the bowl.
Other activities as part of the council’s youth festival have included baking and games competitions.
The skate competition has been made possible following a $2000 state government grant offered to councils, community organisations and schools to host face-to-face, digital or hybrid events encouraging youth participation, amplifying young people’s voices and showcasing their talents.
The event will be at Bacchus Marsh Skate Park at Rotary Park from 11am to 4pm.
