Three teenage boys in hospital after stabbings

Police are investigating two stabbings in Melton that occurred on the evening of September 4, in which three teenage boys were stabbed.

The first incident occurred at the intersection of Coburns Road and Barries Road in Melton West about 8.30pm. A 15-year-old Melton boy sustained a stab wound to his stomach.

The second incident was at the intersection of Station Road and Brooklyn Road in Melton South also about 8.30pm.

A 15-year-old Kurunjang boy and a 17-year-old St Albans boy both sustained stab wounds to their stomachs.

All three boys were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have reported that they believe the incidents are linked, but the exact circumstances surrounding the incidents are yet to be determined and investigations are ongoing.
