School students from across Melton and Moorabool dressed up to celebrate the Children’s Book Council of Australia Book Week.
There were witches, warriors, princesses and more, with children dressing up as their favourite characters.
Melton Christian College librarian Joshua Passarini said the whole school looked forward to Book Week every year.
“Parents, students and teachers work so hard to come up with costumes and have their favourite books on hand,” Mr Passarini said.
“The students and staff really look forward to dressing up and coming to school as their favourite book character for the Book Week Parade.”
Photos from schools across the region captured some of the colourful costumes.
