Fire ravages Harkness home

A fire in Harkness fully engulfed a single-storey home this morning, burning for two hours before firefighters were able to control the blaze.

Emergency service crews responded to a call to Triple-0 alerting them to the fire, just before 9am.

Firefighters arrived to the Willandra Boulevard property to find a brick house fully involved in flames and immediately escalated the response.

Fire Rescue Victoria and Country Fire Authority crews worked together to attack the 10 metre by 15 metre blaze.

A search of the property was conducted with all persons accounted for.

The fire was declared under control at 11am.
