A 16-year-old Kurunjang boy and a 17-year-old Brookfield boy and a 17-year-old Derrimut boy were arrested and interviewed by police, but have since been released pending further inquiries.
Police are investigating an incident in July last year, where five people were involved in the alleged assault of a 45-year-old man at a Wyndham Vale property.
The man sustained serious injuries, including a gunshot and multiple stab wounds.
Following the incident, police recovered an abandoned vehicle that had been stolen in an unrelated burglary in Aintree, but was believed to have been used in the Wyndham Vale incident.
Police have charged a 19-year-old Rockbank man and 20-year-old St Albans man with attempted murder in relation to the incident, who are both currently remanded in custody.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing and police are appealing for anyone with information about the matter to come forward.
