The Moorabool Catchment Landcare Group are holding a huge tree planting day this weekend, to create a greener environment along the Werribee River.
Residents of Melton, Moorabool and surrounding suburbs are invited to join in on the day, to help plant 4000 seedlings as well as making and installing tree guards.
The Grow West community planting day will be held at Pelican Point in Hopetoun Park on Sunday July 24 from 9am to 3pm.
Participants are encouraged to bring along their family and friends to help out too. There will be morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea provided.
