The Moorabool council will mark the beginning of Reconciliation Week, Friday May 27, with a special event.
There will be a Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Welcome to Country, smoking ceremony and Flag Raising with light refreshments available, at the Bacchus Marsh Village Green.
All residents are invited to join the event at 11am.
Reconciliation Week is held from May 27 to June 3 and is known as a time for all Australians to learn about shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each person can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
The 2022 theme for this week is ‘Be Brave. Make Change.’
