A Box Hill man has been charged following an alleged aggravated burglary, armed robbery and firearms incident in Melton on Sunday, May 1.
Police pursued the man to Bacchus Marsh before the man was arrested at about 12:50pm, after he fled the scene of a vehicle collision and committed an aggravated burglary during which he stole a car.
The 24-year-old was discharged from hospital on Friday, May 6 and interviewed.
He was charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, traffic offences, theft of motor vehicle, prohibited person possess firearm, dangerous driving whilst being pursued by police, reckless conduct endangering life, going equipped to steal and drug related offences.
The man appeared in Melbourne Magistrates Court via video link on Friday night for a remand hearing.
